However, there aren't enough fully-scaled, instrumented studies to look into how geotextile reinforcement affects pavement design. In this investigation, eight lanes of pavement test sections underwent full-scale expedited tests. Based on significant advancements in the studies regarding dry compaction on a sand base, design parameters, structure combination of subgrade and pavement, stabilization analysis of sand base strengthened with geotextile, and an entire set of construction techniques, several key technical issues in the construction of the Desert Highway have been satisfactorily solved. In this study, a thorough life cycle cost analysis framework was created and utilized to calculate the current and future costs of 25 sample low-volume road design choices. The subgrade must be firm, stable, well-drained, and devoid of volume variations brought on by changes in moisture. If not, the pavement will eventually fail. Normally, there are ways to measure the benefits of utilizing geotextiles in pavements. However, from an economic standpoint, a pavement's entire life cycle shows that it fails for causes including structural, functional, or material failure, or a combination of these. However, it is noted that the pavement breakdown in the research region falls into the category of structural failure.

Keywords: Cost analysis; geotextile; life-cycle; pavement material.
Shantanu Upadhyay Devesh Jaysawal Copyright (c) 2024 International Journal of Current Innovations in Interdisiplinary Scientific Studies https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 2023-12-31 2023-12-31 7 2 35 42 Liquefaction of soil during earthquakes: the potential of soils https://un-pub.eu/ojs/index.php/IJ-CISS/article/view/8948
During earthquakes, the ground Shaking may cause a loss of strength that results in the settlement of buildings, landslides, the failure of earth dams, and many other hazards. This process of Losing strength is called soil liquefaction. This phenomenon is associated primarily, with saturated cohesionless soils. In all Large Earthquakes, Soil Liquefaction is observed and, in some cases, it has caused much damage. The destructive effects of soil liquefaction were brought to the attention of engineers by the disastrous 1964 earthquake in Niigata, Japan. This earthquake caused more than $1 billion in damages, due mostly to widespread soil liquefaction. For critical structures, such as nuclear power plants and large earth dams, the possibility of liquefaction presents serious engineering problems. This study aims to present methods for understanding the liquefaction problem and providing a framework for evaluating the safety of sites and structures against liquefaction-related failures. The study discusses some liquefaction problems and makes references to existing literature. This study provides useful information to geographers.

Keywords: Earthquakes; liquefaction; soil; structure.
Ishika Mittal Devesh Jaiswal Copyright (c) 2024 International Journal of Current Innovations in Interdisiplinary Scientific Studies https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 2023-12-31 2023-12-31 7 2 43 48 10.18844/ijciss.v7i2.8948 A novel teaching book on an acid, and base topic https://un-pub.eu/ojs/index.php/IJ-CISS/article/view/9136
An electronic book on the topic of acids and bases based on Balinese local wisdom is important to develop to support blended learning. This study aims to develop and validate an electronic teaching book based on Balinese local wisdom to support blended learning in acids and bases topic. It was developed using the ADDIE model, including the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. These research instruments included a document analysis sheet, interview guidelines, questionnaires, a validation sheet, a legibility assessment sheet, a practicality assessment sheet, and a learning outcomes test. The need analysis was carried out at the analysis stage. The results of the needs analysis included indicators of competency achievement, Balinese local wisdom that is relevant to the topic of acids and bases, and the opinions of teachers and students about their experiences using blended learning and learning based on Balinese local wisdom. The design stage was done by making a teaching book design. The development stage included the making of the book and tests of validation, readability, practicality, and effectiveness. The data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential analysis, namely the one-sample proportion test. Among the book's attributes are its electronic format and its foundation in Balinese folklore. It is reliable, useful, and successful in raising student learning results. It can help improve students' learning results by supporting the use of blended learning.

Keywords: Asynchronous; blended learning; chemistry learning; electronic book; local wisdom; synchronous
Wayan Redhana Ida Bagus Nyoman Sudria Nyoman Suardana Copyright (c) 2024 International Journal of Current Innovations in Interdisiplinary Scientific Studies https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 2023-12-31 2023-12-31 7 2 49 61 10.18844/ijciss.v7i2.9136 A conceptual model for achieving equitable learning in higher education based on HyFlex learning https://un-pub.eu/ojs/index.php/IJ-CISS/article/view/9184
HyFlex learning is a hybrid learning transformation where this term is new, but the modality has been applied during the COVID-19 Pandemic and is being prepared for future learning. However, the main problems and challenges related to student’s needs, expectations, cognitive learning styles, and pedagogical equity. This must be the highest consideration in determining the content, strategy, and choice of the best HyFlex learning mode. The student preferences need to be applied face-to-face, online synchronous, or online asynchronous. Therefore, this study is critical to providing solutions to the problems. This study uses a theoretical approach to cognitive learning styles, HyFlex learning modes, and pedagogy equity. This study produces a conceptual model of the interaction of HyFlex learning with an equitable cognitive learning style. This study becomes the essential reference for further empirical studies to make a final model that will become a reference for institutions, lecturers, and learning designers to formulate policies, establish strategies/methods, and provide feedback in the development of systems, content, and adaptive learning processes in an effective HyFlex learning environment equitable today and in the future.

Keywords: HyFlex learning; Kirton’s cognitive theory; Felder-Silverman learning styles; equitable learning

Ridwan Daud Mahande Nurul Mukhlisah Abdal Copyright (c) 2024 International Journal of Current Innovations in Interdisiplinary Scientific Studies https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 2023-12-31 2023-12-31 7 2 62 68 10.18844/ijciss.v7i2.9184 Analyzing the peer learning chain https://un-pub.eu/ojs/index.php/IJ-CISS/article/view/9185
With the proliferation of information in scientific fields, it is difficult for educational institutions to keep the curriculum up-to-date and relevant, and this could lead to individuals overlooking new information. To bridge the gap, it is important to improve on current learning strategies. Hence, this paper presents a new strategy for learning, the Peer Learning Chain (PLC). The PLC is where the learning process takes place between two persons just as in peer learning; the main difference is in the chain. Some characteristics of the PLC strategy include that it supports lifelong learning and facilitates continuous learning. In this paper, I explain how the PLC works, when it should be used, and why it is needed. In addition, I explain in detail how to keep up with the chain of new dynamic developments and maintain the accuracy of the information in the learning process.

Keywords: Adult learning; learning chain; learning feedback; peer learning; technology chain.
Amal Abdullah Alibrahim Copyright (c) 2024 International Journal of Current Innovations in Interdisiplinary Scientific Studies https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 2023-12-31 2023-12-31 7 2 69 75 10.18844/ijciss.v7i2.9185
