Job satisfaction, life satisfaction, and burnout are interrelated concepts. Life satisfaction is directly affected by the mental and physical health of individuals. This review was written to determine nurses' fear of covid 19, work stress, life satisfaction, job satisfaction, and burnout. The review revealed that there are over 59 million healthcare workers in the world. For this reason, research in this field will guide health workers to prevent burnout, increase professional satisfaction and provide more effective psychological support in the field. Reasons such as heavy and long working hours, insufficient number of nurses, and inadequacy of emergency action plans during the pandemic have negatively affected the mental health of nurses and have caused them to experience burnout.

Keywords: Burnout; Covid-19; job; job satisfaction; life satisfaction; nurse; stress.
Esin Kavuran, Gazi Baran Camcib Copyright (c) 2023 International Journal of Emerging Trends in Health Sciences https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0 https://un-pub.eu/ojs/index.php/ijeths/article/view/8419 Wed, 06 Dec 2023 00:00:00 +0300 A study of pre-analytical errors in a public hospital biochemistry laboratory according to their causes and units https://un-pub.eu/ojs/index.php/ijeths/article/view/9030
The clinical laboratory is an important stakeholder in the patient management process with a direct impact on patient care by providing evidence and data for diagnosis and treatment. Identifying reliable quality indicators in clinical laboratories is an important step in enabling users to measure the quality of laboratory service. Any error in the pre-analytical process affects other processes and jeopardizes patient safety. This study aimed to examine the number of specimen rejections in clinical laboratories, their reasons, and their range according to the departments. The study was a descriptive retrospective study. The population of the study consisted of samples rejected from the Biochemistry Laboratory of a teaching and research hospital in 2021. Data were analyzed using percentage and frequency analysis. The study recommends that practices to minimize errors in the pre-analytical process should be carried out urgently by the management and a training plan for sample collection should established.

Keywords: Clot; hemolysis; patient safety; pre-analytical process; sample rejection.
Gungor Ay, Songul Akbal, Ozgur Yasar Akbal Copyright (c) 2023 International Journal of Emerging Trends in Health Sciences https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0 https://un-pub.eu/ojs/index.php/ijeths/article/view/9030 Wed, 06 Dec 2023 00:00:00 +0300 Effects of Earthquake on Children's Health and Responsibilities of Nurses https://un-pub.eu/ojs/index.php/ijeths/article/view/9299
Abstract

The earthquake, which is one of the natural disasters whose time cannot be determined and causes negative consequences such as the death of many living things, financial losses, and psychological problems, has great effects especially on children.
