Investigation of the students’ level of motivation and creativity studying at School of Physical Education and Sports

Abstract
The purpose of this study is to investigate the s tudents ’ level of motivation and creativity studying at School of Physical Education and Sports . The research group comprised 93 female and 107 male (x age = 21.4607 1.8792), 200 in total, studying a t the Physical Education and Sports School of Karamanoglu Mehmet Bey University. ‘A Scale of Achievement Focused Moti va tion’ and ‘Adapta tion-I nnova ti on Inventory’ were applied to the students who parti cipa ted in the resea rch. Inthe anal ysis and assessment of the data , Kol mogorov–Smi rnov test, Kruskal–Wallis H test, Mann–Whi tney U tes t and Correla tion tes t were used and signi fi cance was taken as P < 0.05. As a resul t of the study, there is no si gnifi cant difference between the levels of crea ti vi ty and sub-dimensions of moti va tion (internal and external action, setting higher goals and self conscious) accordi ng to gender, parent’s educa tional background and doing sports acti vely which are the variables of participating students.
