Abstract
We are elated to publish the Selected papers of the 5th International Congress of Nursing (ICON-2021), which was held at the Christian University, St Peterburg, Russia, from the 9th to 11th of September,2021. Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, participation was through an online forum. The conference was represented by participants from around the world, however, the selected papers were from representatives from Cyprus, Turkey, and the United Kingdom.
The selected papers were standard papers that covered issues of health amid the global pandemic. The selected papers include “ Determining attention control levels of nursing students”, “Factors related to the perceptions of nurses about the work environment”, “Determining the stigmatisation and discrimination tendency of university students about HIV/AIDS in health-related departments”, “Understanding the causes of moral distress experienced by oncology nurses in the context of a pandemic”, “Determination of health beliefs and practices of university students towards breast cancer”, “Triage applications in Turkey during the COVID-19 pandemic” and “Determination of health beliefs and practices of university students towards breast cancer”.
We believe our readers would benefit from the myriad issues and recommendations presented in the selected papers. We, therefore, commend the efforts of the researchers, editing and publishing team, for their immense contribution to the success of this study.
Dear reader, enjoy reading!!
Best regards,
Prof. Dr. Haluk Soran, Hacettepe University, Turkey
