The objective of this research is to contribute to the improvement of knowledge of the â€˜front endâ€™ or pre-development of innovation, a process that comprises all the activities prior to the formal start of the development of innovation projects. In this aspect, we identify the most relevant â€˜front-endâ€™ techniques that have been developed in the previous literature.
