Wellness of university students according to gender and age groups

Abstract
The purpose of the study is to determine the effect of gender and age groups on wellness of university students. In order to gather data “Well-Star Scale” was used. Sample of the study was consist of 145 (111 women, 34 man) students. The ages of the participants ranged between 17 and 29 (1. Group: 17-22; 2. Group: 23-28, 3. Group: above 29). t test and one way variance analysis were employed for data analysis. It is found that the wellness scores of the man higher than woman. There is a significant difference according to the wellness scores of different age groups. It is apparent that wellness scores get lower as age increases. In terms of the subdimensions, there is a significant difference between the different age groups only in "meaning and purpose of life factor”.
