Abstract

Teddy Bear has a therapeutic importance in order to understand emotions, thoughts and inner world of the child. Teddy Bear can be perceived as a way to communicate with child. The purpose of this study is to give information about theoretical bases, definition, procedure, indications and importance of teddy bear therapy that is a new approach in the child psychotherapy field. Consequently, in the study was targeted to encourage and increase the use of the teddy bear therapy approach by psychological counsellors, pedagogues, pediatricians and other professionals working in the mental health field.
