Abstract
Dear reader,
Thank you for showing interest in Volume 10 Number 2, November 2020 issue of our Global Journal of Sociology: Current Issues (GJSOC). In such a time as this, where the world is faced with major health issues due to the COVID-19 pandemic, society is faced with several challenges, especially in the running of day-to-day activities. In a bid to prepare our society for a steady life after the pandemic, amidst the hope of a solution to the pandemic, this publication aimed to present societal issues related to justice, politics, human rights, religion, and resources.
After a thorough peer-review procedure, five papers were selected from Nigeria, Portugal, and Pakistan researchers. The selected papers include the following: Religious bigotry and military despotism in Olukorede S. Yishau’s In the Name of Our Father; Metaphors in political campaigning – An anthropological linguistics perspective; Human rights: The truth of numbers and the imperfection of reality; Social injustice, corruption, and Nigeria’s national security quest: A theoretical discourse; Scavenging for Ejiao's raw material and the extinction of donkeys in Nigeria.
Dear reader, we trust that your investment of time in reading these presented papers would increase your scope of understanding and wealth of knowledge in the areas of study presented in the papers. Enjoy reading!!
Best regards,
