Abstract

Dear reader,


 


Thank you for showing interest in the publication of the Cypriot Journal of Educational Sciences (CJES), Volume 16, Number 6, December issue. The COVID-19 pandemic has caused severe anxiety and problems in education for most people across the globe. As a result, most researchers have focused on studying the direct and indirect effects of the pandemic on education. The aim of this issue is therefore to present to our readers, various issues that emanated in education, independent and dependent on the COVID-19 pandemic.


This issue after a thorough peer review procedure accepted top notch articles that reflect the aim of this publication. Topics and papers are represented from researchers from Indonesia, Egypt, Jordan, Slovenia, Peru, Latvia, Kazakhstan, Turkey, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and South Korea. Some of the selected papers include: Nation-building and identity development through ethnocultural content in university English for Specific Purposes courses in Kazakhstan; Pre-school teaching students’ opinions on distance education: Preferences and emotional states; Caring gifted people in Singapore and possibility of benefiting from them in Kuwait; Epistemological beliefs of secondary school teachers in light of their teaching practices based on the grounded theory; The effectiveness of mDPBL as a multimedia-based learning approach.
