Dear reader,
We are pleased to publish Volume 16, number 5 of “Cypriot Journal of Educational Sciences (CJES)”. The World can finally have a breath of fresh air after going through an agonizing period amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. Although the world is finally going back to normal, the effect of the pandemic is still being felt especially in the educational sector. This publication therefore aims to inform the reader about the current state of education and educational sciences around the world.
This issue presents major topics of interest around the world. As such, Volume 16, number 5, presents a wide range of topics from a total of 15 Countries. The topics included in this publication include the following: Job Satisfaction and Risk of Burnout in Special Needs Nursery School Teachers; Remote Learning in Basic Education Schools in Latvia During COVID-19 Pandemic – Experience of Pedagogical Internship; Analysis on International Student Research across the World during the Covid-19 pandemic; Effects of Transformational Leadership on Teachers’ self-efficacy in Education for Sustainable Development: A Serial Mediation Analysis; Predicting Pre-service Teachers’ Intention to Implement Education for Sustainable Development: A Fuzzy-set Qualitative Comparative Analysis; The Promotion of Self-Directed Learning in Pre-school: Reflection on Teachers’ Professional Practice. The topics in this publication are a representation of topics from Latvia, Portugal, Italy , Spain, South-Korea, Kazakhstan, Indonesia, Philippines, Colombia, Turkey, Russia, Czech, Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Cyprus.
